Cody may not have wowed the Styl'D gang on his very first assignment, but he's coming into week two determined to make some moves. First up on his agenda? Prove that Gary's not the only dude who knows a thing or two about fashion. Watch as Cody "The New Guy" makes the most out of his time with Julie (and celeb client Tyler Hilton) while his competition gets stuck playing errand boy (womp, womp). Then, after the jump,  watch as Gary tests Julie's patience by trying to fly solo and find out why Brett's still holding his breath for a second chance.

+ Can't wait til next week? Check out another sneak peek from Tuesday's all-new Styl'D, after the jump!

Here's a little secret from our styling pro: you don't need a hundred LBDs in your closet. Instead, do like Eric Archibald suggests and find one hot dress that's versatile and fits perfectly. Also, you don't need to spend a lot of loot to end up looking like a million bucks. Whether your clothes are designer or off-the-rack from H&M, Eric recommends stocking up on black basics -- and letting your friendly neighborhood tailor do the rest.

Hear why the Styl'D guru says looking polished is a must, plus whip out your pens and pencils, channel your inner Audrey Hepburn and find out the rest of Eric's fashion must-haves.

Throughout this season of Styl'D, the junior assistants will be watching each episode and blogging about their reactions. Below, check out what Cody wrote after seeing Ep. 2.

What is my purpose? My whole life, I have always asked myself that question. I've wanted to do something great, exciting and, of course, LARGER THAN LIFE. After applying for the Margaret Maldonado Agency, I didn’t think I made it because I didn't hear from the agency for a few weeks. It wasn’t 'til I received a phone call from Jen Rade that my heart sank and my eyes opened -- she was asking me to come in for the program!

So yeah, I became the new guy. Was it luck that Brett was fired? Fate, maybe? Destiny? I don’t care. All I knew is that I was there to STAY! Having never styled before, I also knew I had my work cut out for me. I worked in wholesale all my life, so this would definitely be a new chapter, one that would challenge me to think in different ways.

The initial meeting with Eric went OK. Yes, I forgot to ask some key questions. But isn’t it also his job to provide me with crucial information like sizes? I’m just saying, NOT making excuses.

I was so excited to work my first job with Eric, though I wasn't excited about being ranked last place. Oh well -- the senior stylists thought it was impossible to rank me without working a job yet anyway.

I remember being at Eric’s house and this mysterious man suddenly appeared. And then … wait for it … EXTREME CLOSE-UP! Watching yourself on television is bad enough, but when there are Top Chef Masters-style interview shots of your face, you just want to crawl under a rock and fade into obscurity in peace.

OK, so I would definitely say that Tara is my top competition now, seeing how 1) Brett is fired; 2) Cody is not familiar with women’s fashion AT ALL; and 3) Janna can’t put a look together to save her life. Yes … Tara has definitely got me on patrol. The girl can style. She is eccentrically forward with her styles and pulls, and let's be honest, she knows what she wants.

I have to tell you, I was bummed I wasn’t ranked first this week. I know Tara pulled a red carpet look, but are you freaking kidding me? HELLO?? I was the the mad servant boy who had to haul two rolling racks, garment bags and shoes & accessories totes up Runyon Canyon. TWICE! For those of you who are unaware, it was the middle of the summer, and Runyon is a good mile and a quarter high. Not only did I have to perform in a freaking triathlon, but I was also the only assistant who actually assisted, from being at Julie's every beck and call to giving consistently strong looks that both Julie and the photographers were living for! Let's also not forget the fact that without me, Jules would have been up sh#t's creek!

It's really hard watching myself on TV, and it's actually getting harder now that I'm reading all the blogs and tweets (omg this is an amazing time to give you my Twitter name @brettalannelson!!!!!).

I really don't think people know where I'm coming from. At this point in taping, I was dead broke, didn't know if I had my job anymore and I was screwed at EVER having a chance of working with any of these stylists! I had my talk with Jen Rade basically begging her for a second chance (which you didn't get to see all of) and was really just hoping that Jen saw something in me. A talent that I DO HAVE, and one that I wanted to show!

Things could go two ways from here. One (the good way) -- I get my job back and put my amazing skills up to bat again. Or, Two -- I don't get my job back, I become homeless (please note: a very fashionable homeless person) and at some point move back home.

Well, No. 2 wasn't even an option for me. That would have meant I failed, and I really could not have that... So watch next week to see what happens!

I was so nervous to work with Julie after The Brett Incident -- jeez, Julie, talk about killing the messenger! Our jobs are nerve-racking enough having to work with high profile celebrities and trying to please Senior Stylists without having Julie belittle, embarrass and berate me in front of the clients! I mean, talk about unprofessional.

When I saw the episode, it was like watching Julie kick a confused puppy. A little constructive criticism would have gone a long way. I know I'm not perfect and I make mistakes, but I was trying to do a good job, listen, learn and fit in with MMA.

After a long, rough day, I was looking forward to meeting up with Tara, Gary and "the new guy" Cody, and hoping to get back on track with Brett -- but that just turned into more drama. Tara and Gary had invited me to Brett's roommates' party, but I sat there feeling awkward and left out. I remember hoping at the time that it would all blow over and I would finally be able to focus on doing a better job. Well, stay tuned...

Brett might've snagged himself a (controversial) one-on-one styling sesh with V Factory frontman Asher Book last week, but last time we checked, Senior Stylist Julie Weiss was still the one in charge of maintaining the group's look. So what'd the boys think of their monochromatic look on the Styl'D premiere? No serious complaints, but these days, Asher (and bandmate Wesley Quinn) say they're more into playing dress-up. Listen in as the V-boys tell Julie how age, maturity (and much bigger budgets!) have led to a major step-up in style.

Bonus: Hear what else V Factory had to say about watching themselves (and, uh, everybody else) on the Styl'D series premiere, plus tune in tonight at 11pm for an all-new episode!

We came into Sunday night's Styl'D premiere looking for cattiness, but we got even more than we hoped for thanks to Brett and Janna's unexpected tete-a-tete. The lowdown? Sweet, fresh-faced Janna turned Brett in for disobeying his boss' orders (and using her name to score a celeb client). All of which sounds pretty open-and-shut -- til you consider that Janna was the one encouraging Brett to take the gig in the first place.

+ Think Brett should get pink-slipped for breaking the rules? Or should his bosses give him one more chance to prove he's got what it takes? Take the poll and tell us whether you guys think Brett's mistake oughta cost him his job!

+ Big news, fashionistas! Styl'D's moving to Tuesday nights! Tune in next Tues (Nov. 10) at 11pm to catch an all-new episode -- and find out whether Brett's bosses can find it in their hearts to forgive him!

You already heard that fashionista extraordinaire Jen Rade has super strong feelings about your bra. But did you know she's equally passionate about vintage clothes, "people at the mall" and (wait for it!) pretty colored flowers? Listen up as the MMA Senior Stylist talks about what gets her mojo running, and Junior Assistants Brett and Tara chime in about how music rocks their worlds -- and their wardrobes -- every single day.
