We were pretty psyched when we found out we'd get to kick off our weekend by hanging with Tony Yayo. The G-Unit rapper (who has both 50 Cent and Eminem on speed dial, plus a hot debut album called Thoughts of a Predicate Felon) hit up MTV studios this week to get ready for his hosting gig on tonight's live Busted event, and we caught up with him yesterday to find out more about his life, his music and, of course, his brushes with the law.

Turns out, Tony (Did we mention we're on a first name basis?) is actually super chill, despite his intimidating photo glare and well-documented criminal record. And since he pretty much agreed to answer any question we could throw at him, we walked away from the interview with a one-sided crush and way more material than we knew what to do with.

The Top Five Things We Never Knew About Tony Yayo

1. His real name is actually Marvin Bernard. Which is really no biggie seeing as Fiddy was born Curtis James Jackson III.

2. He has a backup career in the adult film industry -- you know, just in case this whole music thing doesn't pan out.

3. He's so frickin' attractive he can wear mustard-colored leather jackets and STILL look hot.

4. He's been to Capetown, South Africa and seen the inside of Nelson Mandela's prison cell.

5. He has a weak stomach when it comes to getting busted. Literally. (Yayo says nothing brings on "major gas" quite like getting arrested).

We've been big fans of Busted ever since it kicked off roughly six weeks ago. (Something about watching teenagers try to outrun the cops, talk their way out of a DUI or slur incoherent excuses for their drunk and disorderly charges is SO FRICKIN' SATISFYING. In a "Holy crap, I'm glad it's not me" sorta way.)

It seems that Pat had been partying a bit too hard one evening, and between the hours of 7pm and 9pm he left a total of six messages for a woman he'd just met containing some hardly subtle sexual advances, as well as a total of 30 F-bombs. Yay for him -- and unsuspecting women everywhere!

Story: "Gold Cadillac"

My ride along with Officer Matt Crenshaw of the Oxnard Police Dept was really great. The night started out with a call reporting a reckless driver in a gold Cadillac. Within minutes, Officer Crenshaw spotted the vehicle. Next thing I knew, we were on a high speed pursuit! I couldn't believe it. I don’t think I've ever gone that fast in a car. It was pretty insane, but at the same time I felt safe. Officer Crenshaw maneuvered in and out of traffic like a pro in order to catch up. Not only did we catch up, but we caught the suspect. Watching the whole thing go down was awesome.

After that ride, I have a whole new respect for what these officers do everyday. For me, it was a scary and exciting experience. But for Crenshaw, it was just another day on the job. It's what they do.

Story: "Munchie Run"

Lindsey was my favorite character I met while working on the show. I remember it being a slow night, and all of a sudden we see this girl just running up the street, right in front of us. Once we started talking to her, it was clear she had a pretty good buzz going. When we found out she was running out (literally) for some late night grub, I thought to myself, “cha-ching… we got a story.” The wild thing is, I figured this girl was so loud and boisterous because she was drinking, however, I’ve done a few follow-up interviews with her and Lindsey’s always like that. Definitely a wild and crazy gal!

Story: "Underage Roundup"

This story was the first “A” caliber one I worked on. We hadn’t gotten many calls that night, and then we get a complaint about an underage party that just got busted on the other end of town. Normally, by the time we get to this kind of call, everyone is long gone. But this night we got there right on time. We saw four figures running across the street so we started the chase. When we gathered up all the kids and all their car keys and IDs, I remember thinking, “This will be on TV.”

On Richard... When we pulled Richard over there was a massive panic. No one expected him to jump out of the vehicle while it was still running! My heart was pounding and the cameraman took off sprinting on foot. Unfortunately, he forgot to unlock my door. Most patrol cars have the locks disabled in the back seat so a perpetrator cannot escape, so I literally had to climb over the front seat to get out of the vehicle. I tripped on my climb over and came crashing to the asphalt. I must have looked completely disheveled the cops actually thought for a moment I may have been Richard's passenger in his vehicle!

When we first heard this call over the radio, we thought they said "two people" were having sex in a public restroom at a popular bar. We were giggling the whole way over thinking we were going to break up a couple "having a good time." We were shocked to discover that two women were potentially soliciting for sex in a Redondo Beach bar. When the girls came outside it was clear they had been drinking a lot. They were slurring their words and getting really mouthy with the officers. Definitely not a Kodak moment for either of them.

Oh, and word to the wise: These days, cops have what we like to call "street smarts." In other words, they TOTALLY know the difference between 'drunk-eye' and 'pink eye.' (Also? Combating a charge of underage drinking by saying "I'm walking...on the feet!" and/or "I'm hungry. I'm walking to the f------- hungry store!" never works. So next time, don't even bother trying).
